Once a month (usually the 3rd Sunday), any donations to the collection plate that are not designated as pledges, will go to a local organization involved in social and economic justice.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Side with Love<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

\u201cSide With Love is a campaign sponsored by the Unitarian Universalist Association, promoting respect for the inherent worth and dignity of every person. We stand with all who share our belief that no person of any immigrant status, race, religion, gender and sexual orientation or political view should be dehumanized through acts of exclusion, oppression or violence.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cImmigration as a Moral Issue\u201d is a statement of conscience that was adopted by the UUA General Assembly in 2013.<\/h5>\n\n\n\n

On the 4th<\/sup> Sunday in September, October, and November, 2013, after the regular Sunday service, we met to discuss issues related to Immigration as a Moral Issue, based upon the curriculum provided by UUA and information gathered by our members.   We also participate in food and clothing drives for migrant farmworkers in the area.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
